Touring and Safari across Uganda, all our Best of Uganda 2020 group summer experience include a length of stay on at least one volunteer project that we run giving you enough time to make a difference and get the full volunteering experience without compromise.

Beacon Tours & Safaris is not just for enjoyment, it is a way for change. Our Best of Uganda 2020 Group Summer Experience trips are open to people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of nationality or qualifications.
The type of work you are involved with will be dependent on your interests, abilities, level of experience as well as your comfort levels. One of the advantages of group summer experience trips is that you are not limited to one job role and will have the opportunity to ‘sample’ other roles during your placement. To become involved in another project simply inform a member of staff who will happily make any necessary arrangements.
Working hours are normally 4-8 hours a day. Upon arrival, there is an orientation session for new participants to become acquainted with the local culture, language and project work.
While working at the projects and doing a safari with us, participants sleep in shared rooms with other trip participants. Although we provide sheets, blankets and mosquito nets, participants are encouraged to bring their own sheets or sleeping bags
Food and Water:
All meals are provided as part of the program fee. We are very flexible about dietary requests.
